Whatever Happen to the LOVE and DEVOTION
In the last few months there have been certain situations that have me wondering about love, marriage and relationships in general. It's as if no one really cares how they can effect another human being and still say they are a good person. Commitments, obligations and loyalties are a thing of past. Today, people will think more of what they want instead of realizing what they really have.
Due to society/sex/money a marriage staying together is almost a miracle. Certain situations I can fully understand. But, getting a divorce and not trying to work together is not ALWAYS the answer. Most everyone you meet now a days, have been married 2,3,4 or even five times. It's so much easier to just get out of it, because there always someone else who understands them better. Whatever happen to morals and values many of us grew up with? Whatever happen to caring about those who love and need you? And why has anger, depression, anxiety along with others mental problems replaced the positive side of who WE as individuals can be?
Maybe one of the reasons is because of sex and lust. Ever since time began, sex/lust have always went hand and hand. However, in the last decade it has become such huge industry to media, it's everywhere you look. Your prime time shows express sex/lust as though it is the most important thing in life. Magazines such as PLAYHOUSE,PLAYBOY and others have Americans spending thousands of dollars every year and its not always just to read the article. Pron is another area that flies right into our own living rooms where people watching it can try to sexually get off somehow. Even your reality shows like the "KARDASINAS" is based on how good looking rich woman spend their time trying to make themselves beautiful for men.
When I was growing up in the 60's and 70's yes, sex/lust were just as big. So, was it when my sons were growing up. But is sex the only thing we cling to anymore?
Prone, Kardasians, prime television shows and so on, are not real. These are just plain false mirrored images that never last. Why do I say that? The every day person out there doesn't wear high heels all the time. Men don't always have a six pack belly and most human beings want to be loved, cherished and respect as a person.
Another area is money/power. Why is it that many of your sports athletes, professors, performers/singers along with many others are recieve outrageous sums of money just for showing up at one event. Of course, there are some who really worked hard to get where they are at now. Those people I would be happy for them if they had a six or seven figure. But, here again what makes them so much better than the rest of us?
There are many people out there who work just as hard, with college degrees and still dream of having a million dollars in their lifetime. However, I don't care how good of an athlete, teacher or performer you are. No one should get that much money and feel good about themselves.
College is becoming another marketing area itself to where parents can spend million of dollars before their son/daughter graduates, leaving tons of debit behind. Ot sometimes students will pay for college themselves, usually having bad credit before age 25. In all fairness to go to an I-legal school, you are going to have to pay more. IU is considered to be one of these schools. But, how does it benefit a student to begin their lives with debit?
I know this may sound corny to some people, but, it's true. There is more to life than money, power, fame, sex and lust. The reason, is no matter how much technology may grow, HUMAN BEINGS will always shows traits when it comes to the bases of life.
We are all flesh and blood, that have emotions, capacity to think, breathe and were selected to live in this wonderful life we have. Wouldn't it make more sense to be productive with that life, rather than waste it with money, fame, power, sex and lust?
