Four the Greater Good of Mankind

Recently I had a discussion with my sister-in-law on how people in general are not as caring, giving supportive or even considerate to their fellow man. Everything is strictly business. The old mighty dollar is more important the human beings.

Of course, her and I are products of the 70's where peace and harmony were abundant, yes. But, it also a time you could go to work, school or church and never worry about someone you loved getting gun down, raped or worse disappeared from existence. And yes, you still had to watch your back. For the most part though, everyone was always given the benefit of the doubt, before making threating judgements towards another being. Even in today's world the younger generation are not always to blame for the problems that are existing with ourselves as a whole. It's people of all ages that scary.

How often do you walk down the street carrying a baseball bat or club? Do allow your children to play outside or keep them tuck away in the house? How often do you go somewhere and worry cautionally about everyone you meet? What about picnics or just wanting to take a drive with the family? These are questions many Americans ask themselves all the time. Don't get me wrong I think its good to be somewhat caution. But, not to the point it consumes your ever being. We shouldn't have to live in fear.

There was a time when people use to be friendly with each other. Today, there are rude, discussing human beings who prey on those honest, dependable and hardworking people, who think they are they are more important than anyone else. And survival is not just being able to live, but to see how much they can steal, abuse, neglect, cheat and lie from other human beings. Of course, we all are taught there are good and bad people in the world. But, does it have to be everyone you meet. There are no morals or values anyone trys to stand by.

I've heard some people tell me, it Congress, the Government or Obama fault as to why people are acting this way. Their taking away people's benefits and cutting back the working men hours. I got news for ya. I wasn't born yesterday. People are doing this to themselves. It's been slowly happening for the last twenty years.

Believe it or not, there was a time that people wanted to help their fellow man or take pride in whatever they did. An honest days work, for an honest day of pay. No one blame the government for their problems, while people in general took stock in themselves. Those who have taken pride in themselves really worked hard to get where they wanted. Today it's a whole different ballgame where everything is a joke.

What has happen to people where all they want to do is hurt each other? Why can't there be caring souls? Do you really feel like you deserve what you have or are you like the majority of people who don't care? How far will this continue on until someone wakes up and realizes something needs to be done about this? Or are we all headed for destruction?

Like the first flower that will pop up in Spring, so do I see in people. Occasionally, you will meet someone who feels the same as you do. But for the most part, its far and few in between.

I believe in the Human Race, and I know we are all strong individuals. We have power in us when we all get along for the great good, than bad. But it can't happen unless someone speaks out and try to make everyone see we need to stand up and fight for this right. Stop blaming everyone else for your problems.

In the meantime, why don't you do your own experiment. Start to know your neighbors differently. Show them you appreciate and respect them. Don't be sarcastic, rude or stupid around them. Take them for who they are, not what you want them to be.

Show your good side and not be so judgmental towards that person. Express your concerns, but don't be so rapped up with what they tell you. People are allow to have their views. That's why this country was formed.

If you see someone in trouble, help them. Don't just expect someone else to do it. Be there for those who really need you. Yes, there is still a lot of bad people out there. There will always will be. But, if you believe
more in the good of people, you might be pleasantly surprised.

THINK ABOUT IT.
